Hundreds of participants made Big Bowl Weekend a striking success! One weekend’s worth of bowling sessions yielded more than $60,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

JP Morgan Chase kicked off the event Thursday by raising $16,625. Amegy Bank bank rolled $18,470. The Insurance Industry collected $15,750 and other participants generated $10,000.  The annual goal for Bowl for Kids’ Sake is $280,000. To date, we have close to $180,000.  The campaign will continue through the month of October.

We have two additional bowls remaining in June.  The Invesco Cares Bowl is scheduled for Friday, June 15 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. The Bank of America Corporate Bowl is scheduled for Thursday, June 21. Both events will be at Palace Lanes on Bellaire Boulevard.

Big Brothers Big Sisters thanks everyone who participated and volunteered over the weekend.  Plus, a special word of appreciation is in order for the BKD and Greek bowlers for getting the ball rolling for our 2012 BFKS Houston campaign.
