Big Brothers Big Sisters is on the move ... 40,000 Texas kids mentored by 2016!

Looking forward to the next five years, Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star embarked on a year-long strategic analysis of the organization and is pleased to present its new strategic plan for the organization.  Aiming high, the agency will see strengthened, positive life impacts on children mentored, will serve more local children with safe, life-changing mentors, will grow our collaborative community partnerships and will prioritize innovation in our work. Look what we’re starting…

- 40,000 Texas kids in need mentored over the next five years!
- Reach a sustainable service level of mentoring 20,000 Texas kids each year
- Work hand-in-hand with local schools to improve academic achievement through the guidance of a mentor
- Leverage the potential of new technologies to build safe mentoring relationships positively impacting kids

We’re off-and-running and there is much to be done. Our kids, families, schools and communities need Big Brothers Big Sisters. That’s why we have set our vision for the future to meet these needs.
