• Voyage 2012 is the sixth-annual Big Brothers Big Sisters teen conference designed specifically for Little Brothers and Little Sisters ages 13-18. This unique experience takes teens on a journey into the world of college and making positive choices for their future.

• Lone Star Announces Regional Big Sisters of the Year
• Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star announces it's regional Big Sisters of the Year for both their community-based and school-based programs. The "Bigs of the Year" award recognizes outstanding volunteers who provide exceptional and life-changing impact to the children they mentor in their area.
  
  

• Historically Black Fraternities Introduce Mentoring Brothers in Action
• Big Brothers Big Sisters and its African American fraternity partners are marking National Mentoring Month and the January 16 Martin Luther King Day of Service with the launch of Mentoring Brothers in Action, Phase II of their two-year collaborative partnership. The goal of the program, which will include support from popular nationally syndicated urban radio host Michael Baisden, is to engage more African American men in fraternal, social, faith-based and professional organizations to get involved in one-to-one mentoring to change the odds for African American boys.

• Nancy Lieberman Helps Kids Soar
• Basketball Hall of Famer and Olympic Silver Medalist Nancy Lieberman, is helping Big Brothers Big Sisters recruit more volunteers as part of the local agency’s National Mentoring Month efforts.  A Big Sister to her Little Sister Kimi, Nancy has stepped forward to use her celebrity to encourage others to refer someone that they think would be a good mentor or become one themselves.
