What is Big Brothers Big Sisters?
Big Brothers Big Sisters is an organization that matches children and teenagers with an adult mentor. We call the mentor a "Big Brother" or "Big Sister." We call our children and teenagers a "Little Brother" or "Little Sister."
Big Brother Big Sisters matches a mentor with a child with similar interests and personalities. After getting approval from the family, the match is made. The "Big" and the "Little" get together 2-3 times a month.
As they spend time together, they become friends. They share thoughts, feelings, and culture. Their time together will give the child new experiences and an adult friend to talk to.
