The board of directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star has elected longtime member Jim Wales chairman. He has served as an executive board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters for more than five years, during which time the organization became the largest Big Brothers Big Sisters agency in the world.
Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star Names New Chief Executive Officer
The Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star executive board of directors today announced the appointment of long-time board member Robert R. Roby as chief executive officer, effective May 20, 2013.
Roby comes to the world’s largest Big Brothers Big Sisters agency after a highly successful legal career focused on civil litigation. Most recently, he served as a counsel member of the Curran Tomko LLP law firm in Dallas, which he joined in 2007. Roby replaces former CEO Tammy Richards, who recently departed to pursue her passion for service in the areas of education and technology.
Allison Simmons is Abilene Little Sister of the Year! After being matched with Big Sister Kris for more than 6 years, Allison shared that Kris has taught her how to become a mature and classy young woman and how to carry herself with grace.
