UPDATE: Out of an abundance of caution for our supporters, Big Brothers Big Sisters – Tarrant County has decided to postpone the 2020 Big Taste Fort Worth food & wine event scheduled on March 22nd at River Ranch.
While we are extremely disappointed that we cannot continue with the signature fundraising event as planned, we strongly believe it is the right decision given the type of event and current circumstances. We are actively working with the venue and all vendors, sponsors, and guests to schedule a new date later this year.
If you have questions, please contact Big Brothers Big Sisters – Tarrant County at 817-566-7422.

The Barrett Havran Memorial Big Taste of Fort Worth is a culinary event you won’t want to miss! Local Restaurants will prepare a signature dish for our celebrity judges and our guest tasting.  Our celebrity judges will decide on Best of Big Taste and YOU can help decide this year’s People’s Choice!

Because of the continued success of our Barrett Havran Memorial Big Taste of Fort Worth, we have been fortunate enough to continue to respond to our community’s demand for preventative services and educational resources. In 2018 Big Brothers Big Sisters Tarrant County launched our Mentor 2.0 Barrett Havran Legacy Program. This program pairs a mentor with a high school student, where mentoring takes place each week during the school year through online communication on our proprietary platform. The mentor and mentee also meet in person with pre-scheduled events every 4 to 6 weeks.  Together, through one-to-one mentoring we are increasing the likelihood that our most vulnerable population will achieve educational success, higher aspirations, greater confidence and better relationships, while also avoiding risky behaviors.
